The HCC Central Wellness Center staff welcomes our lovely HCC students, faculty, and staff this semester. We are here to facilitate the proper usage of the Wellness Center, promote the Six Dimensions of Wellness, and grow the Wellness Center's experience while remaining committed to providing our members with the SAFEST way to utilize the facilities. As a reminder to current and future members, if you ever feel ill or sick, we kindly ask that you please do not use the Wellness Center and remain home until you are feeling better; thank you.


Things to remember:

  • The Wellness Center is only accessible by currently enrolled students and currently employed faculty & staff.
  • All members MUST have a physical copy of their student ID.
  • Please refer to the Student ID webpage for information on where and how to obtain your Student ID.


Hours of Operation

  • Monday: 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
  • Tuesday: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
  • Wednesday: 11:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
  • Thursday: 8:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
  • Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
  • Saturday & Sunday Closed

Wellness Center Check-in Process

When entering the Wellness Center, all members (students, faculty, or staff) must check in at the Front Desk.

Upon exiting the Wellness Center, members must check out with a Staff member.

The Wellness Center is here for those wanting to utilize the space and amenities properly, and we ask those not planning to use the area as advised to please exit. Thank you.

About Us

The Wellness Center

The Wellness Center is a state-of-the-art exercise facility with classrooms and leads to our student engagement, HCCs Wellness Center Rules and Regulations. It includes the Weight & Cardio Room, Gymnasium, Mindful Room (…coming soon), and Men’s & Women’s Locker Room. The Central Campus Wellness Center is located on the first floor of the San Jacinto (SJAC) Memorial Building in room 178. Members can enter the SJAC Bldg. through several entrances positioned on every side of the building.



HCC Wellness will support students, faculty, and staff by embodying the six dimensions of wellness meant to highlight different areas of our lives and understand how we can optimize members’ overall health, happiness, success, and well-being.



To provide members with an all-encompassing approach to the six dimensions of wellness that will encourage, teach, and facilitate a healthy process to all aspects of one’s life. The Wellness Center will promote and support wellness practices for our employees and students.


Weight & Cardio Room

The Weight & Cardio room is an extension of the Wellness Center and offers state-of-the-art resistance and cardio equipment. This includes 14 Precor Cardio machines, including six treadmills; 8 Precor pin-select machines; and nine free-weight racks, benches, and machines.

Also included is a Bluetooth Surround Sound System connected to 11 overhead speakers to enhance the listening enjoyment of members, along with 3 56” televisions for members viewing pleasure.



The gymnasium offers a newly renovated full-size court, equipped with basketball hoops, detachable volleyball net & poles, and a variety of other amenities. Ask staff for assistance when wanting to set up different equipment.


Mindful Room (…coming soon)

The mindful room offers members a room of serenity to engage in healthy meditation, yoga, or mindfulness. An undisturbed environment where members will have controlled led lights illuminating the room, their choice of soft and calming music or sounds, and welcoming fragrances to entice their sense of smell.


Locker Rooms

The wellness center also offers a men’s and women’s locker room, equipped with six showers and lockers to secure one’s items safely.
