International Students

Apply now to be a part of one of the largest international student populations in the United States.

We are thrilled to have you join our vibrant, diverse community at Houston Community College.

Registration for the Fall 2023 semester is open, and we want to ensure that the process is as smooth as possible for you. As an F-1 student, it is important to note that you must enroll in a minimum of 12 credit hours for Fall 2023. However, please remember that only one of your classes can be 100% online, while the remaining classes should be either in-person or hybrid.

Our team is available to provide guidance and support to help you navigate the processes. Links to access support, hours of operation, and other helpful resources are listed below.

Hours of Operations

Connect with DSO/International Student Advisor & Academic Advisor

Connect with DSO/International Student Advisor
Use the Virtual Lobby to connect with your DSO/International Student Advisor. Designated school officials serve as liaisons between international students, HCC and the U.S. government. DSOs issue necessary immigration forms, guide students through the process of studying in the U.S., maintain records in the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System, known as SEVIS, and more.

Connect With Academic Advisor
All college-ready, continuing F-1 students will have an assigned academic advisor on campus. The assigned advisor’s name and contact information will be located in your My Eagle account under program advisor.

  • How To Find Your Academic Advisor: Go to My Eagle Student Sign-In > Academic Progress > Advisors
  • Meet your Academic Advisor in HCC Virtual Lobby:  As of September 22, 2023, HCC is extending its use of Zoom for virtual support until further notice. Click here to access support through Zoom.
