About the Office of Institutional Research

Mission

The HCC Office of Institutional Research is responsible for the collection, analysis, interpretation and dissemination of accurate and timely information on all aspects of HCC in support of institutional decision-making, planning and reporting.

Purpose

The Office of Institutional Research provides information to support decision-making district wide. The subject of institutional research is HCC itself: students, faculty and staff, courses and finances. Research activities are often undertaken in association with HCC planning, program review, special requests, projects or queries that require a broad overview of HCC. The office serves as a clearinghouse for many district-wide surveys and coordinates the administration of the Student Evaluation of Instruction.
