User ID and password

First time user

Did you know that you may already have a Web User ID and temporary password waiting for you?

If you have completed an HCC admissions application in the past, your User ID and password has already been generated. Go to the Student System Sign In page and click the "First Time User" link. Enter your social security number (SSN) or P number and date of birth (DOB) to retrieve your User ID and temporary password. You will be prompted to change your temporary password when you sign in.

How soon can I receive my new User ID and password?

Students completing HCC web application can retrieve a unique User ID and password approximately an hour after submitting the application, and those completing the ApplyTexas application must wait about 24 hours (by the end of the next business day after submitting the application).

Remember: You will keep the same User ID throughout your HCC career.
