Office of the President

Thank you for visiting the HCC – Northeast College Web site. The Northeast College is one of six regional colleges within the Houston Community College District. As a college, we are proud to offer a record-setting number of exemplary programs as designated by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board.
The wide array of exemplary programs ranges from Law Enforcement Training, Business Administration/Management, Fire Technology, Drafting and Design Technology, Automotive Technology, Electronics, and many other fields of study. Each semester, the Northeast College enrolls over 12,000 students in these and other workforce programs as well as in academic support courses, contract training and continuing education. As you might suspect, some Northeast College students enroll in academic courses for transfer to senior-level institutions.
In fact, 32% of HCC students transfer to Baccalaureate-Degree granting institutions.
The majority of Northeast College students, however, enroll in technical/career-preparation programs to complete a certificate or a degree. In fact, many Northeast College students have already completed Baccalaureate, Masters – and some – even Ph.D. degrees and have returned to college to complete a certificate or degree in one of the College’s Exemplary, High-Tech/High-Wage Career fields.

We are eager to help you achieve your educational goals. In addition to Distance Education, the Northeast College has accessible campuses in four locations within a 100 square mile radius. I invite you to enjoy your visit to our web site, and plan an on-campus visit to one of our campus locations – whether at the Northeast Campus, the Pinemont Center, Northline Campus, or Automotive Technology Center. At each location, you will find highly professional, devoted faculty and staff who are eager to assist you.

Sincerely,
Dr. Margaret Ford Fisher, President
