Business Technology

The Business Technology curriculum is designed to
provide students anopportunity to develop the knowledge,
skills, and abilities required for assuming administrative assistant
and other office positions in today's competitive workplace.
The curriculum is therefore competency-based and organized to teach
industry-driven educational outcomes. An Associate in Applied Science
Degree in Business Technology includes a specialization in one of four
areas and six certificates that constitute a building block toward the AAS degree.
Consequently, all courses in the Business Technology Certificate programs may
apply toward the Associate Degree in Business Technology.
Individuals have the choice of earning:

  • A two-year Associate in Applied Science Degree, which
  • transfers to many four-year colleges and universities
  • a one-year THEA-exempt Certificate
    A Business Technology Certificate may be applied toward an Associate Degree in one
    of the following specializations:
  • General Office Administration
  • General Office Administration Bilingual Option
  • Legal Office Assistant
  • Medical Office Technology
  • Microsoft Office

    Financial Aid is available.
    Admission Requirements - High school diploma or GED
