Disability Support

The Houston Community College System does not discriminate on basis of disability in the recruitment and admissions of students or the operation of any of its programs and activities. The college System will make its campuses and programs, when viewed in their entirety, accessible to individuals with disabilities.
Where it is impractical to modify a specific area to make it accessible, the College System will provide an accessible alternative.

The Disabilities Support Services (DSS) Office assist students with physical, learning or emotional disabilities in developing independence and self-reliance. Services include adaptive equipment and reasonable accommodation for admissions assistance, testing, academic advising, registration and classroom instruction. All services are determined on a case-by-case basis.

Students with special needs or disabilities that may affect their ability to succeed in college classes or participate in college programs/activities should contact Disability Counselor,
Kim Ingram, (713) 718-8420
After appropriate consultation and documentation, arrangements will be made to provide reasonable accommodations and/or modification.

Academic accommodations will be provided only after students have properly registered for services with appropiate consultation and documentation through the designated services counselor. Students should contact the ADA Counselor at least 60 days prior to registration to facilitate accommodations.
